Fix 2. Run Call Duty: Black Ops 6 as an Admin

  • Open Steam > Library. Right-click “Call of Duty/’ and click on Manage > Browse local files.
  • It will open the Game Installation folder. The path is — C:\Program Files (x86) > Steam > steam apps> standard> Call of Duty HQ folder.
  • Right-click on the “cod” exe file and select “Properties.”
  • Go to the “Compatibility” tab and tick mark “Run this program as an administrator”.
  • Then click on “Apply/’ and “0K”
  •  Launch the game from the installation folder and check whether the problem is fixed.

  • If running the game as admin does not work, mark “Disable full-screen optimizations”.
  • Also, tick the mark “Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8 or Windows 7. Click Apply and 0K.
  • Now, launch the game from the installation folder and check. If the issue persists, then right-click on the cod exe file and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and Uncheck “Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8 or 7”. Click Apply > 0K.

Fix 4. Now Call of Duty: Black Ops Firewall/Antivirus

  • In Window Search, type “Windows Security and click on it.
  • Click on “Firewall and network protection” and then click on “Allow an app through firewall. “Click on “Change settings” and then click on “Allow another app.”
  • Then click “Browse” and add Black Ops 6 exe file.

Fix 5. Close Conflicting Unnecessary Programs

  • Disconnect the external USB drive and mouse, disconnect additional joystick/controllers, and multiple monitors connected to the PC.
  • Unplug the Logitech or Thrustmaster racing wheel.
  • End the task for Afterburner, Rivatuner, Hwinfo, Razer Synapse or MSI Dragon Center from Task Manager.
